From Cork Plank to Cork Stoppers |
Cork planks ready for corks production process are cutted into sticks, and then into cubes of various dimensions, according to sizes of corks to be
produced.
A set of laboratory tests of humidity grade and dimensions is newly done on cork cubes.
Cubes that get through the humidity test are splitted into classes of dimension and then transformed into cylinders by automated cutting of angles.
The product that gets through this step has finally the shape of a cork stopper. Next step is the glossing of cylindrical side surface and calibration of
height.
The result is a cork stopper dimensioned according to customer requirements!
